Make dog's toe nail's soft before trimming?

no.

just cut a very small amount, wait a week and cut a little more.

theres a vein running down them and if you cut it its very painful for the dog, bleeds profusely and invites infection.

Before you trim the dog's nail, give your dog a bath.

You will notice that after it takes a bath, the nail's gone softer.

It works for my dog,and even myself.^_^

Remember to cut it just a little bit just to make the nails less sharp, not making it short. You might injure the dog. Oh, check for your dog's blood vein line. You can see it, don't cut over that line.Make dog's toe nail's soft before trimming?
LMAO!!!

You gotta be KIDDING!

Use REAL %26amp; SHARP dog nail-wackers,dear!!!

EASY peasey then.
No, just be careful and not cut too short, if you hit the quick, it is very difficult to get the bleeding to stop.
It doesnt matter. I have always done it when I see that they are gettting long. All you have to make sure is that you dont cut the wick. If you are going to cut your dogs nails though make sure you have quick stop by you so you can apply some if you have hit the wick. Dogs with white nails you are going to see the wick easily *its the red part* but dogs with black nails you have to check the back to see how far you can cut. My best advise to you is to go to a groomer first if this is your first time doing it. YOu can ask that you watch them cut the nails or ask them if they can guide you in teaching you how to correctly cut them.

You can find quick stop at any pet store.. *Pet co* Pets Smart*
bath your dog and leave a small amount of water in the bath. but i reccomend you take the dog to get the cut profesionally as if you touch a nerve it causes a lot of problem.
