How many minutes does the military (marine corp allow you to trim your finger nails and toe nails in boot camp?

They get an hour each day to do what they need to do, i.e., write letters, or in your case, trim nails. That is uninterrupted time. But most of the time, recruits are polishing their shoes or making sure their uniform is just right, or reading/writing letters.

Sundays, you get four free hours. Most go to church, but again, they are polishing their shoes, or up keeping their uniforms. How many minutes does the military (marine corp allow you to trim your finger nails and toe nails in boot camp?
The Marine Corps Recruit Training Regulation requires the DIs to give you one hour of uninterrupted free time each evening, beginning on the first training day, while in garrison (ie, not out in the field), Monday through Saturday, and four hours on Sundays and holidays while in garrison. Company commanders may authorize two hours of free time on Saturdays. However, company commanders may also suspend free time for recruits as a result of punishment imposed by administrative or legal proceedings.

Toe Nail Trouble Please Help?

I have one toe nail that is yellow in color the nail has came unattached from my toe I can completely pull the nail back the end of my toe is really sore and bright red any suggestions what it could be and what I can do to fix it also if I cut the nail off will it ever grow back thank youToe Nail Trouble Please Help?
you really should go to the dr. but i know times are tough. I had something like that happen, if the end of your toe is bright red. that is the first sign of an infection. the yellow on your nail means you have some sort of fungus. they do sell over the counter medication. if the nail falls off. it will grow back. i've had that happen too. but you really should get that taken care of asap.Toe Nail Trouble Please Help?
That is a serious fungus infection that a doctor needs to treat (with topical and oral medication). Fungus infections are v-e-r-y difficult to treat (over-the-counter cremes and powders won't cure it). This requires expert help.

Yes, the toe nail will regrow back, but when the nail is off, be prepared for some s-e-r-i-o-u-s pain (try to keep the nail on the toe as long as possible, like a bandaid).

But do get to a MD, before the fungus spreads to other toes (it's highly contagious -- don't walk barefoot even on the carpet. Wash your hands thoroughly, too, as you don't want it to spread to your privates -- remember ';Jock Itch';?).
U really must visit a doc.........but for immediate relief, try soking your feet in warm salt water......

Toe nail fungus?

ok, i just recently figured i must have a toenail fungus. i can NOT get to the doctor at this time. but i've been spraying it with lamisil spray and have noticed that particular area of the nail is starting to peel back...it's just a thin layer of the nail, not the entire thing. should i let it naturally come off, or take it off? is it a good sign of healing?Toe nail fungus?
Slather on a layer of Vicks Vapo-Rub, then put your sock on over it. Do this every day until the fungus goes away. It works. I had bad toenail fungus and in 10 days it improved greatly. After 3 weeks it was gone--much better than the 6 month pill treatments, and a heck of a lot cheaper.Toe nail fungus?
Try Tea Tree oil. And you should let it fall off on it's own.
Try vaporub! Put some on it a couple times day. I have heard from alot of people it works better than any creams from the podiatrust. I wouldnt try the pills unless necessary. They can cause liver failure, I think I would rather deal with a little fungus.
I would say that it's progressing. It's very difficult to get rid of. Go see your doctor and get yourself started on taking the series of oral Lamisil treatments as soon as you can. Prescription required.
Toe nail fungus can sometimes be very aggressive. I contracted one once from a Podiatrist's therapy area! Lamisil wouldn't touch it. I ended up going to a dermatologist who treated it with pills, a topical cream, plus my toenail had to be removed! It took about a year to heal, but now it is all gone, and my nail grew back nice and healthy. I would really suggest getting to a doctor! Yes, cleanliness has nothing to do with it!! You can pick this nasty stuff up in any public area, especially fitness areas, gyms, pools, etc. Don't ignore it, it will just spread and get worse!!!
Lamisil is not approved for toe nail fungus. If you read label it will say for the skin around the toe. It is probably peeling because it is getting worse. My mother is using penlac nail laquer by prescription only. The insert says it will take 6 months to START working. Sp I seriously doubt a over the counter drug would work that fast.
I have nail fungus, and it is possible to have it go away after time. But athlete's foot medications nor tea tree oil nor vinegar nor a topical liquid will cure it. It will require a visit to a doctor - dematologist most likely.
A doctor once told me that iodine is the only thing that will go through the nail to the infection underneath. If you use it too often though (4-5 times in a day) it can burn the tissues and stay sore. You can get stainless iodine now, so it won't be noticeable. You could also use lamisil foot powder, which is a fungicide.
Toe nail infection with fungus is one of the most common problems in dermatology. Symptoms usually include a yellow nail with scaling, itching and redness of surrounding skin. It can affect anyone, but is more common in older people and those with diabetes or on certain medications.

There are prescription medications available that are quite effective for treatment. These drugs, however, carry a risk for liver damage. Therefore, they are best saved for the more severe cases.

Elon Dual Defense Antifungal formula is the strongest topical treatment for toe nail fungus. It is applied directly to the nail and surrounding skin. The infection is treated, the skin is soothed and subsequent infections may be prevented.

Onychomycosis, or nail fungus, is on the rise. It accounts for more than half of all nail disorders. One U.S. study concluded that it affects more than 18 percent of the population. For people who frequently go barefoot or are planning a beach vacation, the cosmetic aspects of toenail fungus are a primary concern. But the condition can also have serious consequences for people who have diabetes or a compromised immune system.

';Onychomycosis is neither trivial nor untreatable, as was once thought,'; says Georgeanne Botek, DPM, of the Cleveland Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery.

Toenail fungus is not pretty. The most common form, trichophyton rubrum, begins at the far end of the toenail, and grows inward. It can cause the nail to swell, turn yellow, white or even black. It can present as streaks, spots down the sides of the nail, or across and throughout the entire nail. The nail can grow fragile, chalky or crumbly鈥攊n some cases crumbling away altogether.

Fingernails get fungus too. Toenail infections, however, are more difficult to treat because the toenail grows more slowly. A nail fungus often spreads to other digits, and sometimes spreads to other sites (groin, skin, and scalp). Nail fungus can even be spread from person to person鈥攆or instance, family members. If you notice an infected nail, doctors warn against picking at it or even trimming it, both of which can cause the fungus to spread.

Modern shoe is breeding ground. Toenail fungus is not the product of poor personal hygiene. The microscopic fungus usually gains entry through some small trauma to the nail, and flourishes in the hot, damp environment of the modern shoe. Some minimum prevention can be accomplished by keeping the inside of your shoe dry, changing your socks and shoes frequently and using an absorbent or antifungal powder.

there are a number of reasons why toenail fungus is more common today than it has been in the past. ';The aging of the population may account for part of it,'; she says. ';It affects 32 percent of the people between the ages of 60 and 70, and nearly half of all people by age 70.';

Other reasons may be the greater use of medications that suppress the immune system, deficient immunity caused by HIV infection, increasing exposure to pathogens in spas and public swimming pools, the use of tight-fitting shoes for fashion, and athletic activities such as long-distance running.

Nail fungus has serious consequences. ';Onychomycosis impairs quality of life,'; says Dr. Botek. ';In several studies, patients with this condition reported significantly poorer general health, mental health, social functioning, and body pain than did people without this nail infection. Some developed a fear of social situations that exposed an infected fingernail or toenail.';

Patients who have diabetes or have deficient immune systems are at the highest risk of complications from onychomycosis. A fungal nail infection that arises in a person with diabetes, particularly someone with impaired nerve function in the foot, can increase the risk of death. Fungal nail infections can also create fissures that lead to bacterial infections.

Treatments clip fungus problems. Toenail fungus can be improved or eradicated with appropriate treatment. Newer oral antifungal drugs like terbinafine (Lamisil) and itraconazole (Sporanox) are highly effective and have few adverse effects, although care in prescribing is needed because of potential drug interactions.

';The oral antifungals are now the gold standard for treating and eradicating this condition,'; says Dr. Botek. ';They have revolutionized our approach to this problem.';

Topical antifungal agents are most effective when used to treat milder cases. These ointments are available in over-the-counter and prescription form, and may need to be applied daily for almost a year.

Conservative treatment for fungal infections in the nails may include periodic removal of the damaged portion of the nail and thinning out of the thickened nails to prevent pain to the patient. An infected toenail can also be permanently removed.

';The foot is the perfect incubator for fungal infection,'; ';and it is important that people take steps to prevent athlete鈥檚 foot and excessive sweating. It is also a good idea to pay attention to nail care and hygiene, and proper daily use of topical antifungals and powders.';
Disgusting... try washing your feet on a daily basis. If I ever got any form of fungus on my feet, I would chop them off. But that will not happen because I practice good hygene...

i think toe nail polish is a must but also don't neglect ur other half of ur foot-don't just do ur toes %26amp; have ashy heals-not hotToe nail polish, sexy, or stupid?
very sexy, especially in the color Vintage by OPI.Toe nail polish, sexy, or stupid?
well..it all depends on which shadeof nail polish but i guess i'd choose..'SEXY'!..lol
I rarely show my feet unless I have them polished. I think toe nail polish is great. You could go to a spa and get a pedicure and have them paint your toes. I had one when I was pregnant with my son, and it was the best thing anyone could have done for my swollen feet. Painted toe nails just make you feel feminine and pretty, I'd apply the polish and put a clear coat over to make them shiny. Have Fun!
Sexy. Looking at unpolished toes makes me want to puke. Even if it is a simple french manicure (or in this case pedicure). There just needs to be some color on them.
    Sexy!
On a girl or woman...very, very sexy, feminine and appropriate.

Toe nail fungus treated w/ vicks vapor rub?

    does this work?

what are the EXACT directions to follow,

    cut the nail?

rub it thick, light, inject it somehow

how do you know if its too deep in there to work or not?Toe nail fungus treated w/ vicks vapor rub?
Oh yes, I remember this from a list I got in an email of odd remedies for different problems.

If I had the problem, it wouldnt hurt to try it. I'd just rub it in just as thin/thick as I put it on for a chest cold or under the nose for sinus problems. I think I'd put a white sock on (definitely not BLACK), once or twice a day and give it a week. Cant hurt. Cut nail only if it is too long, just as normal. Good luck.

Oh, the list suggested toothpaste to clean a dirty bathtub.Pepsodent went on sale, I bought 2 tubes, (used one) and not only did the tub sparkle, it smelled great too.

You decide.Toe nail fungus treated w/ vicks vapor rub?
never heard of it maybe a new remedy
file nails straight across, file nail too,rub the vicks on it or use aloe vera gel works great.
hi im jill,im a nurse and i never heard of vicks for toenail fungus. but ill tell u i have had it forever,im 46 , got it at 39, its a lack of something in your system but i have used sporanox and i saw a podiatrist too and he said no mater what u do it is gonna just come back sooner or later so i just have a foot spa or just soak your feet for like an hr and the thick part under the nail will get soft so use toenail clippers and just get it out, when its soft enough it does not hurt at all and u cant b lieve how much difference it makes just 4 a while. they have all this stuff on tv, forget it , just waisting cash. i soak my feet , well not enough but when they hurt i have 2 ans it is worth the wait till u can just kinda dig the thick part out. hope it helps. jill wow how gross was that first meeting huh lol i get **** like that all the time from people so no bother, and i know the feeling and the way it looks i paint my toes red all the time just so u cant really notice it. jill
It's not going to work, look for a nail fungus product at your local drug store or go to a foot doctor
i am not going to be nice...it does not work...at alll tea tree oil is suppose to but ...you put it on 3 4 times a day...the best thing to do is soak your feet in a solution or 1/4 bleach an hot water before you take a bath ..then you make sure the nails are clean and taken care of ,,,it does spread to other nails,,invest in a small Dremel tool and keep the hard thick nails shaved down as they will get thick...or...go to doc. and get drugs that can cause liver damage..alot of us have this ..do not know your age ..guess you either whent bare foot in the rain...or wore dirty tennis shoes...loveya %26gt;%26gt;IHave it too,,,constant battleITS a GOOD THING
Never heard of this one but I have heard of foot soaks in Hydrogen Peroxide.
How old are you? Don't try things you are unsure of.Go to this site. You can try the lamisil tablet.I hear it is pretty effective.

Sparys and creams may help temporarily because it's only getting to the surface of the problem

It's better to take something orally rather than topically that way the tablet can get into your bloodstream, and get to the root of the problem.
This is an odd remedy but some do claim that it works. A doctor has a column in daily papers that says his patients recommended it to him.

It won't hurt to try it. Trim the nail and rub it on and around the nail.

Try it for a week and see if there are any results, if not...try the regular antifungal treatments in the footcare aisle of your local drugstore.
Vicks? It doesn't make sense. Try Listerine.....it has bacteria killing agents. Soak your foot in it.
Ouch! I've never hard of anything like this. I would think it would burn or sting
honey you have to use antifungal cream....lol...who told you to use vicks?lmao
You need an antifungal cream or spray. Try canestan or tinaderm. Directions are on the pack.

    Toe nail and crazy glue?

    Hello:

My toenail cracked at the bottom and it is about to fall off. My boss told me to use crazy nail glue to glue it on to my membrane or skin so I won't be missing a toenail. Should I do that?

Should crazy glue it on and then silk wrap it? It is summer time so having a basically missing toenail is unacceptable to me ( a flip flop, sandal feign).

What would you do in my situation BESIDES cut it completely off? I am really trying to salvage my toenail before it falls off.

    ThanksToe nail and crazy glue?
Ok. If that happened you should just keep it covered up and DO NOT PUT GLUE ON IT! Keep it connected on your toe and within a few days another nail will grow where it was. If you don't care to buy something, Skin-On is great. Just apply it and it should hold for a while more. Still keep it covered and clean.

why did it crack.. did the nail look black if, so it has a fungus. at any rate i had one similar to yours and i just let it come off and another one grew in. if it has a fungus you need to have it treated because it will just happen again and eventually you will loose the nail all together

    Toe nail infection, need help!?

Any suggestions to getting rid of toenail infections? I've talk to my doctor but do not want to take the meds he is recommending (must take pills for min 6 months and have liver function tested if I go this route) I've read that vinegar which does not work. I am desperate, my toes look disgusting!Toe nail infection, need help!?
The reason the Doc's recommend pill's to kill this type of infection is the fungus lives under the nail it's self. So it is hard to reach with topical treatments.

Because of this topical treatments do not work very well.

With that in mind here are some things that you can try.

vinegar does help cider vinegar works better than the white.

the essential oil German-Chamomile (Blue chamomile) works as well.

I know once your toenails look bad you want to hide them but the more sun light and air that they get the better.

    Now this is your choice.

Most of the pills that they have for this type of infection can cause liver damage or worse.

Because of this a friend of mine choose to have her toenail removed.

Unless the Doctor destroys the nail bed with a chemical the toenail will come back in.

all though it is painful it is during the time that it takes for the nail to come back in that the topical treatments work very well.

I have also heard that is you eat allot of yogurt will help

but you need to eat plain unsweetened yogurt to get the benefits. You can put jam or fruit or granola on it but once you add something you have to eat it within 20 Min's or you will not get the benefits. What ever you add will kill the 'good'; bacteria with in that time.Toe nail infection, need help!?
Thanks all for your advise. I will definately try up-ing the yogurt. I will try the Blue chamomile and cider vinegar.

    Ugly Toes Trixxi

Depends how bad the fungal infection is. Ask you doctor to try terbinafine first as an oral course of this should only take 3 months to work instead of the 6 to 8 months that griseofulvin or ketoconazole take and has fewer serious side effects. Another option, but an expensive one, is itraconazole (Sporanox) and fluconazole (Diflucan).

The vinegar treatment should also be used as this stops the surface infection spreading to other toes or to your hands or mouth. It can also help with the itching, pain and odour.

Make sure you treat your shoes daily with an anti fungal spray. Wash your clothes using an anti fungal rinse. The fungus is contagious and can be passed on to other people if you are careless with your hygiene.
i have some advise. the natural route of course is always better, vinegar is good, and tea tree oil is good as well.

For me I had a nail infection on one nail, and it hurt like crazy for a long time due to artifical nails in the past. By accident, I got cured by my dr. putting me on doxicycline it cleared up my nail, as well as roscea that i had at that time. so, I would have to say doxicycline.
My dad had something like that, he put vinegar on his feet every day and it went away

It smells nasty but it helped him!!

nothing to do. you just have to wait and let it grow out. sorry

Make dog's toe nail's soft before trimming?

    no.

just cut a very small amount, wait a week and cut a little more.

theres a vein running down them and if you cut it its very painful for the dog, bleeds profusely and invites infection.

.Make dog's toe nail's soft before trimming?
Before you trim the dog's nail, give your dog a bath.

You will notice that after it takes a bath, the nail's gone softer.

It works for my dog,and even myself.^_^

Remember to cut it just a little bit just to make the nails less sharp, not making it short. You might injure the dog. Oh, check for your dog's blood vein line. You can see it, don't cut over that line.Make dog's toe nail's soft before trimming?
    LMAO!!!

    You gotta be KIDDING!

Use REAL %26amp; SHARP dog nail-wackers,dear!!!

    EASY peasey then.
No, just be careful and not cut too short, if you hit the quick, it is very difficult to get the bleeding to stop.
It doesnt matter. I have always done it when I see that they are gettting long. All you have to make sure is that you dont cut the wick. If you are going to cut your dogs nails though make sure you have quick stop by you so you can apply some if you have hit the wick. Dogs with white nails you are going to see the wick easily *its the red part* but dogs with black nails you have to check the back to see how far you can cut. My best advise to you is to go to a groomer first if this is your first time doing it. YOu can ask that you watch them cut the nails or ask them if they can guide you in teaching you how to correctly cut them.

You can find quick stop at any pet store.. *Pet co* Pets Smart*
bath your dog and leave a small amount of water in the bath. but i reccomend you take the dog to get the cut profesionally as if you touch a nerve it causes a lot of problem.

My dogs front toe nail is gone..?

I have a 1 year old black lab... and the other night we noticed his paw was bleeding ... come to find out .. one of his toe nails is gone..ripped off... he licks it every now and then ..and it doesn't seem as if hes in any pain because he plays and is still wild and he doesn't hold his paw up for any reason... should we take him to the vet or what can we do to take care of it? will he be okay?My dogs front toe nail is gone..?
That happened to my sons dog last summer. Scared us to death and we ran to the vets because she was bleeding.

His dog is a bulldog mix, very active and playful. The vet said she probably ripped it while playing outside. Other than stopping the bleeding, there's not much you can do unless it really looks bad. The vet bandaged her up. That lasted about an hour and she had ripped the bandages off. Just keep it clean, if possible. Easier said than done since they have to go outside.

Ours actually grew a new nail. I was surprised. I didn't think it would grow back but it did.My dogs front toe nail is gone..?
    I'd go to the vet.

He might get an infection while playing.
PLEASE take your dog to a veterinarian immediately! Although dogs, like many other animals are very good at masking their pain, i assure you, he is in pain. Several studies have proven that dogs and cats feel pain to the same degree and from the same causes as we do. a ripped nail is excruciating, but due to a dog's pack oriented nature they hide their pain for fear of seeming weak and being attacked or driven out of the pack.

He also needs veterinary care because you just can't put on a topical and a band aid and tell him to keep it clean. dogs and cats tend to lick off topicals that work for humans and ingest it. licking and raw exposure allows a host of bacteria and parasites to enter the wound which can lead to septicemia and severe conditions...

Your dog needs to be examined, and treated with pain meds and antibiotics perscribed by a licensed veterinarian. please, please don't delay... take him in immediately.

    -Registered Veterinarian Technician
He might be ok not going to the vet, but you need to keep a close eye on it to make sure he's not getting it infected. Also, if it doesn't stop bleeding, he'll need to see the vet. To protect his foot so it can heel, it would be good if you had a dog boot you could put on or he'll keep on opening it up and it won't heal.

You should clean it with warm water, then put an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin on it. He should also be kept quiet so it has a chance to heal.
dogs nails can get rippedout sadly :( I'm not sure about treating it only if you have adog save aniceptic that he/ she can't getat and lick ... I'd call a vet and double check ask questions- most likely they will want you to take the dog in though
He probably tore it off while playing. It may or may not grow back. You could put some neosporing ointment on it like twice a day, but he'll probably just lick it off. In the meantime, just watch it, to make sure it doesn't get infected. Best of luck to you.
My Pastor doesn't have a toe nail either, and he's still doing good. Put some anti bacterial ointment an it. If you're worried see a vet.
I'd keep it clean as much as possible, wiping it off every couple hours, and get him to a vet sthe doctor can take a look, just to be safe.
My dogs do this once and awhile also.

Make sure you clean it and keep an eye on it for infection.

As long as there is not swelling or any infection just let it be.

The nail will grow back but may come back strange or only half will grow out. Over time it will return to normal and the dog will be fine.
I think as long as he is acting okay and it is not bleeding anymore he should be fine. just keep it clean and check on it to make sure it does not get infected.
i would take him to the vet to check if it is dirty or infected and i would wash it after he plays to keep his paw clean i think his nail will grow back but he will be fine
please take your pet to the vet. check to make sure he doesnt have any infections or sores in that area. the vet can check to make sure the bloodvessel is okay and nothing else is in there. he can also tell you if the nail will grow back or not.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean- has your toenail split lengthwise, like from the tip back toward the base? Or do you mean widthwise, like the whole front of it is coming off, but the back remains intact?

You say it is ';coming off';, which sounds like it is gradually getting worse. If that's _not_ the case, then I would just leave it alone and let the flaw grow out for a while.

If the flaw is getting worse and that part of your nail is pretty loose, then I would say to get one of those little, sharp toenail scissors (not clippers, but little curved scissors), and snip off as much as you can of the part that is loose. Better to snip it off in a controlled fashion than have it tear off at some random time while you are walking.

Once the nail is gone, depending how far down toward the base it tore, you might want to wash it frequently and put a bandaid on it to try and keep it from getting infected. The warm, moist confines of a shoe make a great place for breeding bacteria.
cut it off. like the half thats coming away cut it off and leave the rest on then slowly get the rest out over a preiod of weeks snip a small bit of the cuticle at a time. i did this when i stubbed my toe. good luck!
I've had that problem a couple years ago. Just don't touch it and wear flip flops. It comes off itself in a couple days. If you keep picking at it, it will only hurt more and start bleeding.
I suggest you talk to your parents about this.

GOT A BRUCIE TOE NAIL WHAT DO I DO?

am in my schools drill team we started camp about a week ago and my jazz shoes are not broken in yet but i wore them the first day and i hurt my toe nail and its really hurting it black what can i do please help me out i got to keep going to campGOT A BRUCIE TOE NAIL WHAT DO I DO?
Give it a couple days and it will go away. Keep your toe nails short if your shoe are not broken in yet or else you can break or injure more toe nails.GOT A BRUCIE TOE NAIL WHAT DO I DO?
First I would wet and stretch the shoes on a stretcher And second I would take my foot to a dr. and see what they have to say.

    White stuff on toe nail?

occasionally my big toenails grow on the side and cause pain. i cut off the nails with clippers and its sore. now on the side there is white gooey stuff coming from the side and it feels like my toenail is pushing against the skin.

what could this be?White stuff on toe nail?
thats disgusting sounds like pus and anyway why do you post this on the internet? dont you have someone close to you that you can talk to?White stuff on toe nail?
This is an engrown toenail. Ive had it before, put some peroxide on it and a bandage. If it keeps happening then you might want to go to the dr. It is caused by the way you cut ur toenails I think.

    I need a cure for toe-nail fungus.?

I have Tried vinegar, tee tree oil ,Vicks vapor rub, bleach ,Cayanne pepper, lamasil cream ministst. I dont want to take lamisil pills HELP....... PleaseI need a cure for toe-nail fungus.?
Toenail fungus starts on the nailbed, from inside your body. You may have to take lamisil, the topical treatments generally dont work

My toe has been swollen for a week now. It hurts on the nail/skin contact area. What is it?

i think it may be an infected ingrown toe nail. Do I need to go see a doctor? Does surgery hurt?My toe has been swollen for a week now. It hurts on the nail/skin contact area. What is it?
This definitely sounds like an ingrown toenail. You can try to ease the pain and lessen the infection by soaking your toe in warm bath water mixed with Epsom salt and then applying Neosporin. Your chances of the toenail ';curing'; itself are about 50-50.

I suffered from ingrown toenails off and on for about 15 years. When I had a particularly painful one, I decided to go to the doctor for surgery. The worst part of the surgical process is the lidocaine shots, but you really can feel nothing but pressure afterward.

Also, you have the option of having the toenail removed or permanently removed. By permanently removed I do not mean the entire toenail. Rather, the doctor can inject a chemical compound into the nail bed on the side(s) where the toenail typically becomes ingrown. I opted for this procedure and have not suffered from an ingrown toenail since: It's been 10 years!

From my experience, the 15 minute surgery was soooooooooo worth it.

How do really tall people cut their toe-nails?

  • My pinky (little) toe has a little sharp piece of either skin or nail coming out of the corner of the nail.?

I've always had these little sharp, pointy growths on the outer corner my pinky toes, right next to the toenail. I don't know what it is, but it is like an extra piece of hardened skin or an extra piece of nail. When I put my shoe on it is very painful. In the past, I've been able to cut them off with clippers, but this one seems to be deeper and still hurts. Anyone know what this might be and what I should do? Thanks. My pinky (little) toe has a little sharp piece of either skin or nail coming out of the corner of the nail.?
I get those all the time, on my toes and fingers. Just tweeze them off. It'll hurt a little bit but if you do it quick it'll hurt for like a second but it'll feel so much better.

Can small shoes make a baby's toe nails crack?

My son (14 months old) has 3 toe nails cracked on flat surface of his nails :( Could this be from wearing shoes that are too small and making his toes curl under? He's been walking since 10 months old and is VERY active. And what size shoes does a 14 month old boy typically wear? Thank you.Can small shoes make a baby's toe nails crack?
try on different sized or have his feet sized at a shoe store.

push on the toes of his shoes to see if you can feel his toes, and where they are in the shoes. that will tell you whether they fit or not.

i have a 4 year old, and his toenails are always cracked. i don't really know why, but they're also very flat. Can small shoes make a baby's toe nails crack?
Yes it can! I went through this with my son! He hates when anything changes...including shoes! When he was about 15 months old, he outgrew his shoes, so I bought him new ones! He hated them, and wouldn't even let me put them on him! finally I let him pick out some cookie monster shoes that he liked, but it took a good 2 months of him wearing his old too small shoes...

His toenails are fine now...they healed right up.

The size really depends on your son. Take him to stride rite! Even if you don't want to spend that much on shoes, they will size his feet for free. If you can find half sizes, I would get a half size bigger. They grow soo fast!
yes wearing shoes that are to small will do that to your toe nails, take him to the shoe store and put a pair of she to the bottom of his feet and you can tell then what size he can were
I don't think that would be it, necessarily. My son is now 2 1/2, and has the hardest toenails. When he was a baby, however, his toenails cracked and peeled constantly. He wasn't even wearing shoes! It got so bad that they would crack and catch on his socks and tear really far down into the quick. It never seemed to bother him, but it looked awful! I talked to the Dr. about it, and he had no advice. I do give my son a multivitamin daily now, so that my help. Good luck!

My husband loves to file my toe nails for sexual enjoyment?

How do I get him to stop? Its creeping me out!

(is that better)My husband loves to file my toe nails for sexual enjoyment?
Oh yes much better i love your humorMy husband loves to file my toe nails for sexual enjoyment?
Wear shoes. All the time. lol Keep your nails too short for him to mess with. Or...explain to him it's not only something you do not enjoy, but something that bugs you. You're both adults. You should be able to talk about this.
That would also creep me out. I understand that some people have foot fetishes, but not me.

Tell him you have other things that need attended to complete your sexual enhancement.
feel lucky to have such a good hubby ,,,you ingrate woman ,,,,considering divorce rates in america is 60% ,,,,you have got a very nice man [hes doing it out of love],,,
Allow him to paint his own toenails. That's what he really wants. No one has to know. He can wear socks during lovemaking so that you aren't turned off.
Hmmm I would just tell him it makes me uncomfortable but some men are weird %26amp; have ';foot fetishes';.
soo what let him enjoy it ur his wife and you should be there for his kinky fetishes otherwise hell pay some Asian women at the massage parlor to perform on
    Sexual enjoyment?

I got nothing. This is gonna bother me all day.
It's just a little foot fetish just enjoy it. Can't be all that bad. There's a lot worse things that he could like to do.
i dont see nothing wrong with that, just be happy he like to touch your feet. ill behappy if my husband would just enjoy to rub my feet..

    be grateful!
Just tell him, that it makes you feel uncomfortable. That is very different though. lolZ.
Get him a job at a nail salon.
    OMG that is weird.
ahhhhh, so hes a foot man??? let him. if its an easy way to get him in the mood to move north, y do u care? ;))
It's creeping me out too, Jay!

    (better than what)?
u could let it slip that the guys at work better never find this little tidbit out! it could make him look gay? lol

I have had a total nail avulsion on one toe and have been dressing it for about 2 months now,is this normal?

What is the normal healing time???I have had a total nail avulsion on one toe and have been dressing it for about 2 months now,is this normal?
That is a little longer than I would expect for this kind of injury. As long as you aren't diabetic and don't have peripheral vascular disease, I would have expected this to be healed by this stage.

Are you sure that there is no infection which could be delaying things?

I would get your GP to take a look.

    My ingrowing toe nail?

I have an ingrowing toe nail and have had it for over 2 months now and its bleeding and infected bad. What will happen to my toe if i leave it much longer which i dont plan on doing? My ingrowing toe nail?
    Chris,

I had an ingrowing toenail. The way forward is to see your GP and be referred to a State Registered Chiropodist, who will sort this problem out; either by trimming the nail, or by performing a small operation(under local anaesthetic) to permanently reduce the size of the nail.

Ingrowing toenails are associated with EXCRUCIATING pain if left untreated, and, as you say will also become easily infected.

Good Luck in sorting this one out!!!

    ';Mac';My ingrowing toe nail?
The infection will spread up your leg and you could lose it. Go to the doctor.
go to a doctor before you have your toe amputated or even your leg!
that does not sound good, you needto see a chiropodist or your doctor, if it gets too infected you coud get blood poisoning and thats serious, could lead to your toe being amputated. go and get it looked at!!!! x
Go see a Podiatrist or you can get an infection so badly that it might affect your walk.
It will get sooo bad that might have to take your toe. I use to do this take a little piece of cotton and on the side where you get them shove that cotton all the way down into the side of your toe (leave a little sticking up to pull it out later) and this preventions future in growm toenails
I had one on both my big toes and just clipped them away and use tweezers to pull it away. I put peroxide on it also. But if you have insurance go to a doctor so they can fully get rid of it. Mine grows bad every now and then but not as bad as it was the first time.
    go to doctor, quick
your toe is very important my toe was infected for weeks its just getting better! you should look after your toes and cut your nails (not too short) remember your toe is your friend not a limb without a heart! sent
It will get infected and cause bacteria growth
It will begin to grow into your toe and infect it meaning that if it isn't removed you could get gangrene and you might need to amputate it so get a chiropodist to look at it!
Make sure you get it checked out right away. It can be very painful and if you don't get it taken care of, they might have to remove your nail. See a podiatrist.

    Check out this site: http://www.nwsurgeons.com/toenail.htm
YOU NEED TO GET IT DEALT WITH ASAP YOU WILL HAVE NO END OF PAIN AND IF ITS INFECTED GANGRENE COULD SET IN GET DOWN THE HOSPITAL AS SOON AS YOU READ THIS AND GET IT SORTED LOLXXX
It'll get worse and then you might actually get gangrene and lose your whole leg????

Oh do not be silly you must be in such pain go to the doctor..and get it sorted.
Trim it, especially where it is growing into the skin.
wash it first with some savlon. after that dry it thoroughly and keep it dry. avoid wearing shoes for very long and use 100% cotton socks. if the problem goes away in 1 month thats fine.....or else it might need a very small minor surgery. dont worry its not bad just try to keep it dry. thats the trick
Well, theoretically the infection could get worse, which could either cause your toe to be permanently damaged or even get you sick. Not to mention that it could be very painful.

Here are some things that you could do:

    1. Soak your toe in a bath with epsom salt or some similar bath salt. This will draw out the infection if possible and relieve the pressure on your toe.

    2. Try to lift the toenail out of its furrow in the skin, if possible. You can also use very small pieces of cotton under the toenail to help lift it up so I can grow above the place where it is stuck. This sometimes takes care of it, although you have to keep putting cotton under there until your toe grows out.

    3. If your toe is as bad as it seems, you can go to a podiatrist. They have a number of things that they can do, one of which is taking out the entire toenail so a new one can grow in its place. It sounds grody but it's much better than some people's ingrown toes!
drop off? - i don't know. you should go to your quack
It will become gangerous and your toe will need to be amputated !!! See a doctor !!
Honey, you need to go to the doctor. The infection could spread to other parts of our body if it hasn't already.
I'm sorry to say it's time to dig in deep!

Put your foot in some hot salty water, rubbing your toe at the same time, this will free the dirt and soften the skin.

    Now be brave!!!

Get some good nail clippers, dig in to the corner and clip it away, the relief you will have I just cannot explain, but I promise it's worth it, once the nail is removed, squeeze your toe just in case you have a build up of puss, remember to wash your feet with soap and water afterwards, towel dry, then just relax without putting anything on your foot for a little while.

    Good luck!!!!!
GO TO A DOCTOR SISH YOU PEOPLE ARE REALY STUPID THAT IS SERIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
You could get a nasty infection and will be in a lot of pain
It sounds infected and you should go to the doc. I know they can be painful my husband gets them all the time.
I really don't know what can happen other then very painful now the pain would get worse. If you soak your feet for a good half hour it really softens the nails it also makes it easy to reach the ingrown nail. use a steril pin or the scissors that r for doing pedicures the very tiny scissers an u can get rid of it yourself good luck n i hope i helped.

My toe nails and fingernails are in bad shape?

Can a guy get a manicure/peticure ?My toe nails and fingernails are in bad shape?
Absolutely! I love to see men in the nail salon when I go. It is a huge turn on for men to take care of their nails. Go for it and don't be shy!My toe nails and fingernails are in bad shape?
Yes, go! It's a major turn-on if your looking for a girl, and it'll take care of your problem! DO IT!!!
yeah just go to any salon, you prob won't even be the only guy there (=
    yes
Sure, just buy your own tools/set so you're not using someone else's stuff. You don't want an infection. Select a salon carefully. You can always file and buff at home. Sally Beauty or any large store has tons of manicure items. Oil cuticles to keep them from getting rough.
Take in minerals and trace elements. Better than a cure.

Yes, it probably is. I personally had those symptoms and it turned out to be celiac disease. Definitely look at that as a possible cause. It damages your intestines and causes massive vitamin deficiencies. Eye and ear problems and grooves in your fingernails (I had them terribly) can be symptoms of vitamin deficiencies. Do you have other health problems?

    Ingrown Toe Nail, Please Help!?

I have an ingrown toe nail and it has stuff coming out of the corner of my toe. What should i do? How can I heal it without going to the doctor? Please help!Ingrown Toe Nail, Please Help!?
Soak your foot in very warm salt water, several times a day, then dry your feet and apply some Triple Antibiotic ointment on the area. Eventually, you will have to go to the doctor to have the ingrown nail removed, because it will continue to grow and become very painful.Ingrown Toe Nail, Please Help!?
Ok i have an ingrown toenail as well and ive experienced the same thing as you, here is what i do. First i usually get toenail clippers or some to stick under my toenail and lift the corner above my skin. I then bend it back and forth to weaken it. I then do one of these two, ill bite it off or ill rip it off. Then ill bite the fungus stuff off my toenail as well. Before i started doing this it hurt my toe so bad, but ive had no pain since this treatment. It might not be good for you but it sure does work for me.
    Pandora is right.

If the ingrown toenail isn't that bad then you should be able to rid the infection with the salt water treatment.

Don't let the infection get too bad or you won't be able to walk on it. I had to get half of my toenail removed because it got so bad, and now my toe looks wierd.

Ingrowing toe nail? Is it ingrown?

Um, well my toenail on my big toe is all red and swollen. I think it's ingrown cos the nail on the other big toe grows straighter. But this one really digs in and hurts , a lot. It bleeds sometimes and when it's got pressure on it , it kills even more. Also sometimes pussy :( if I go to a doctor, can someone say in detail what they can do, ? And the pain , please. Also, I'm just 15, and my parents aren't exactly nice to me or supportive. , so can I go to doctor myself,?Ingrowing toe nail? Is it ingrown?
I think at 15 you have to have a parent with you, unless you go to the emergency room. I had the same problem at your age. I went to the doctor, they gave antibiotics, and some instructions for aftercare. They said that if it didn't heal up, that I'd have to have surgery on it...

So don't let it get too bad, no matter what your parents say.

The antibiotics should fix it unless it's already to the point of no return...

Good Luck!Ingrowing toe nail? Is it ingrown?
go to the Doctor, if its infected they will give you some tablets for a week then you go back and they numb it with anaesthetic then cut the nail out form were its digging in and the skin at the side well that's what they did with me anyway.

As for going to the Doctor yourself i think you can although i think one of them would have to be their for the minor operation not sure though sorry.
im bout the same age and i jus had the same problem.

i was worried to go to the doctors because i thought theyd just rip my toenail off but they didnt.

if i remember correctly they told me to soak my foot in epsom salt to take down the swelling and make the skin really soft. then while the skin was soft i had to gently try and pull the skin away from toenail.

i had to do this twice a day until my toenail grew out. once it grows out some then you can cut the nail.

when cuttin your toenails cut it straight across dont try and round it off on the sides because that will cause more ingrown toenail problems.

its going to hurt for a while jus so you kno.

go to the doctors jus to make sure that its not infected or anything.

    hope this helps.... :)
I'm sorry your parents aren't really helpful, I hope this helps you if you can not get to the doctor.

    Lifestyle and home remedies

You can treat most ingrown toenails at home. Here's how:

Soak your feet. Do this for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day in warm water. Soaking reduces swelling and relieves tenderness.

Place cotton under your toenail. Put fresh bits of cotton under the ingrown edge after each soaking. This will help the nail eventually grow above the skin edge. Change the cotton daily until the pain and redness subside.

Use a topical antibiotic. Apply an antibiotic ointment and bandage the tender area.

Choose sensible footwear. Consider wearing open-toed shoes or sandals until your toe feels better.

Take pain relievers. If there's severe pain, take over-the-counter pain relievers, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) to relieve the pain until you can make an appointment with your doctor.

Check your feet. If you have diabetes, check your feet daily for signs of ingrown toenails or other foot problems.
It definetly sounds like an ingrown toe nail. Go see a foot dr. It's probably a little piece of nail on the corner of your toe. It's poking your toe so that's why your're in pain. The doctor will take a pair of clippers and pull out the piece that's poking you. You will feel 100% better as soon as it is out. I had a really bad ingrown once and once the dr pulled it out it felt so much better. If the dr. asks if no want novacain say no! That hurts much more then him pulling it out quickly. Good Luck!
Sometimes they can deal with it when you get a pedicure. So if your parents won't take you to the doctor, go to a nail salon and see if they can help

But you can also try your school nurse who might be able to help

    And try home treatments:

    http://www.emedicinehealth.com/ingrown_t…

I usually soak cotton in tea tree oil before pushing it under the nail to help prevent any infection
Sounds like an infected ingrown toenails. And why are your parents not so nice to you? That's one reason kids today are so rebellious. Their parents don't have time to be bothered. I think you do need your parents to approve a Dr's appointment. I have an ingrown toenail that is very painful at times. Hope you get it treated soon.
    Hi babe,

I am really sorry that your parents ain't supportive or nice some people ain't just meant to be parents anyway yes mate i think you should go to the doctors because i think it may be an ingrown toenail but hay lots of people get them you ain't on your own.

    Hope i helped.
take a metal nail file and dig that nail out of your toe. Go in there and get under the nail on the side that is growing in and make it come up out of your toe. That happens to me and I have to maintain it to keep it from digging in. When it does dig in, it hurts like a m___ f__.
Instead of going to the doctor for an ingrown toe, I would go to a pedicurist. They see this sort of thing all the time and are VERY adept at helping.

BTW, I firmly believe in modern western medicine but I also believe in evidence based medicine.
eww i hate those. since ur 15 u prob need lik proof of health insurance. try asking a close relative lik an aunt/uncle. i got one once and my dad took me to a doctor specializing in feet. soo he checked it and stuff. Then she gave my two shots on that toe to num it. Then they take it out. Its not painful at all inless you HATE shots. It didnt hurt after that. soooo good luck with that
This happened to my friend in High School, they end up having to cut the nail out and they'll put you on antibiotics. Tell your parents to take you to the doctor. Legally they have to help you.
Try cutting it off and keeping it short and filed that way it will not bother you that much.
    call doctor call someone

    ew
ewwww, lol, but call the doctor
    UGHH!!!

    THATS GROSS!!!!!!

Toe nail fungus comes from nail polish???

I noticed my toe nails are turning a light orange color at the very very top so I asked some one from Sergio's Spa and she said it was a fungus. So I got that cream you put on twice a day... a friend of mine said it was from nail polish, leaving it on too long. I'm a very very clean person so I am not sure why this is happening. :( Shoudl I throw out all of my shoes and socks?Toe nail fungus comes from nail polish???
Toe nail fungus is not initially in nail polish, unless the factory contaminates it. It is possible for fungus to be spread from person to person by using the same polish and same instruments for pedicures. It is always a good idea to have your own kit at the spa that you frequent. Most places have that options, now. It is always welcome at spas to bring your own nail polish. It is possible that if you don't ever have ';naked'; toe nails that they don't have enough exposure to oxygen. leaving the polish of one week a month can help the nail to be proper color as it grows the old out. As far as using the cream, it only works on 10% of people who have toe nail fungus and that is after religiously placing it on EVERY day, twice a day for one year. If you get the pill version, you need to take it for three months. The pill can be fairly expensive. Don' t throw out all your shoes and socks. You can wash them in the washer with regular detergent and hot water. The shoes that are washable should be washed, as well. If not washable, spray the anti-athletes foot spray inside them everyday before wearing. I realize this is long, but I hope it helps.Toe nail fungus comes from nail polish???
Do not throw out your socks and shoes. A fungus is an overgrowth of the candidia bacteria aka yeast., Use vicks vapo rub on your affected nails once or twice daily to get rid of it. For now leave the polish off your nails.
most likely, it is a stain from your nail polish; keep your shoes and socks! nail fungus usually doesn't occur unless there is damage to your nail. that is why (you ladies will not like this) alot of young girls get nail fungus from pedicures. Why? because although pushing back your cuticles and digging underneath the nails may make the nails look prettier, it loosens the natural seal that is there to protect your nails from bacteria and fungus. That's how you get nail infection.
no its just the polish because u leave it on there too long somtimes that happens to my finger nails
no dont throw out anything ive never heard of orange fungus on toe nails it may be from the polish it may have stained the nail but if it spreads i would see a doctor

    Toe nail fungus.. nail removal?

i've had toe nail fungus for a while (pretty much all my toenails :-/)

and was thinking of my options, tried over the counter stuff and my doctor has said I could use lamisil but it can damage your liver and stuff

so was wondering if any one whos had this has had luck with toe nail removal? figure it'd be painful but better than risking damaging my organsToe nail fungus.. nail removal?
Hi, I am a nail tech. You can buy something that you drop between your nail plate and skin at a lot of nail salons. I can not remember the name of the product but it was something like, ';Fung-Gone';? Yeah, don't do the removal. Your nail would look pretty at all once you get it done.Toe nail fungus.. nail removal?
the fungus isn't hurting any of your systemic organs, and the results of toenail removal look MUCH worse than the fungus.
hiya. i recommend a foot spa and dry them properly and sprinkle some talc on em ... that helps
A coworker of mine had this done, he said it took a few times but it worked.
pour peroxide on them several times a day. Peroxide kills fungus.

    this is mad question :3

    Ingrown toe nail?

After digging the ingrown toe nail out, how long does it take to heal? If you don't cut your nails properly will your toe nails grow back ingrown?Ingrown toe nail?
I read somewhere that if you file your toenails in a rounded shape, it can lead to ingrown toenails, so its best to file them straight across.

I've had those before and never had a problem with it growing back ingrown, however months down the road I'll get another one on the same part of my toe.

To help it feel better I would do sea salt soaks, fill a big bowl with warm water that has had sea salt (NOT table salt) dissolved in it, it helps draw out the infection without the irritation that can be caused by the iodized table salt. The warm water also helps alot with the pain. After I did this it only took a day or two to feel back to normal :)Ingrown toe nail?
ouch, i feel bad for you.

    i have those sometimes.

you should just ry to keep it clean. rinse it with peroxide every once in a while, and wear socks and shoes most of the time. but make sure it gets air.

it should heal in a couple days.

it should grow back normal, but you might get another one eventually.
It should grow back normally, but it depends on how fast your nails grow normally. I've never clipped or seen your toes, so I really couldn't say personally.
It won't growback ingrown and for me it takes like 6 weeks.

My toe nail polish will not come off !?

Okay so I went and got a pedicure done about 2-3 weeks ago and the nail polish she put on will NOT come off !!! I've tried taking it off with nail polish remover and it didn't take anything off at all! And I really need to get it off for Monday because i have my farewell at school coming up and it's all chipped and looks stupid so if you guys have any suggestions on how to get it off that would be great! My toe nail polish will not come off !?
soak cotton balls in acetone (nail polish remover) put it on top of each toe, wrap with foil, let it sit for about 10 minutes, or more depending on how bad it is, and when you unwrap, it should come off just fine. this happened to me before and this method worked great! My toe nail polish will not come off !?
If you leave your nail polish on too long, it will take a very long time to wear off. Once, I had nail polish on the whole summer and it did not come off. Try putting on nail polish remover on at least every day. Soak your feet in warm water and it may become more softer. Try that and if it doesn't come off, go back to the salon.
    That happened to my before.

You just need a really good nail polish remover and try really hard.

If it is still not coming off and you really need it to then try painting a different color over it, but it will make it thicker and maybe ever harder to come off later.
try using pure acetone. nail polish remover has acetone in it and that's the thing that actually removes the polish however it has water added to it to dilute it.
that stinks, well u should call the place and see if they have any ideas. i would go in there and have them take it off. i would also try a stronger nail polish remover.
    Rubbing alchohal

use it like you would nail polish remover

put it on cotton balls and try to take it off

or you could just paint over it =)
try using acetone or go back to the nail salon and get ur toes painted again they will take it off with acetone
    well that sucks

maybe you should call the pedicure place and ask them if they have any suggestions? they might be used to that kind of thing happening.

    good luck!
you should get the pedicure done again so it doesnt look chiped
    sorry bout that
    y don't u tell ur parents?

or u could just keep on

trying if it won't come off try to scratch it off!!!

    Ingrown Toe Nail questions?

Does anyone know any medication(s) that can numb/freeze my toe so that i can do the procedure by myself?

I want to cut the nail by myself and i dont know what i need to buy so that i can numb the toe completely.

are there any injectible medications? like ones that you can inject into the toe?

    please helpIngrown Toe Nail questions?
Be careful; I have ingrown toe nails and I used to have a plantar wart on the same toe, and you can DIE or require amputation if you get a staph infection in your foot. I dug out my own plantar wart without numbing medication and I have not found a ';perfect'; solution for my ingrown toe nails yet but I will give you the one bit of advice that has helped me... soak your feet in hot water for a good half hour (in a jacuzzi or in the tub) before you even start trimming; this will do a lot to help soften up the nail so it can bend without splitting. I have an internal fungal infection in my body, its likely Candidiasis and it's not known whether I was born with it or if possibly it could have had anything to do with me digging out the plantar wart at 12 years old without disinfectant. Your feet are made to sustain cuts in nature and heal themselves without getting infected, but bad things can still happen. My MD didn't have any good advice for my toenails so I go to an ND now and will be bringing it up next time I go in (less than once a year for me w/o insurance)

I, too, will be watching this thread to see if there's any answers that I can benefit from with my own ingrown nails. Best of luck, and don't forget you have a large nerve bundle underneath every nail so be gentle. I got a set of nail trimmers called PROFOOT that look just like wire cutters/needle nose pliars, and they work way better than conventional nail clippers when it comes to this stuff. I think I got them at Walmart or Riteaid.

Also, if you do end up making any deep or potentially infected cuts in your foot, have some TEA TREE OIL nearby as it's the best topical antibiotic you will find to use on your hands and feet.Ingrown Toe Nail questions?
This makes me a little nervous. Granted it's not open heart surgery on self, it's still a procedure that should be done professionally, because of the numbing process. I don't know of an injectable over the counter numbing agent. Your local CVS or Walgreens could have that answer and could probably give some wise tips.

    Please be careful!

we should not criticize players but yeah he is a duffer
Another loser, who knows absolutely nothing about football.
who the hell are you to give evaluation on a proffessional footballer who plays in a national team and in the most succsesful club in england ?.players have ups and down like everyone else in life. but i guess it is your opinion and nothing more ....
.You are the weirdo and an embarrassment to your family. You clearly know nothing about football but are sadly entitled to your opinion
    ok
Liverpool looked ordinary but that was hardly his fault.
Stick to brushing streets football management must be a mystery to you.
Weird thing to say considering his international and domestic record!! He's not the type of player I do like and in front of goal his heading ability is pretty poor, but he is one of the best players I've ever seen at holding the ball up or flicking it down to someone else (via head or foot). Try actually 'watching' him play next time and ignore the tinted specs you're wearing - then people may begin to listen to what you have to say!!
All i can say is he's very very tall. And yeah i agree but then i would I'm a life long Chelsea fan!!
plays for one of the biggest clubs in world footbal and best club in england.

plays for one of the biggest national teams in the world.

  • Ingrown toe nail?

its not too bad. but im putting it in water. after that what should i do?Ingrown toe nail?
If you can get under the nail...like it is not close to your cuticle, then wedge a tiny tiny piece of cotton, rolled up into a ball and force it under the nail where it hurts. Believe me, it really hurts to do this but by tomorrow, it will be better. Also, leave the cotton in there. If it is small enough, it will work and know one will see it. See, the cotton holds your nail away from the skin to prevent it from growing inside causing the pain. I do the cotton thing all the time and leave it in for weeks. It does fine! Hope this helps and remember, don't cut your nails so short next time. :DIngrown toe nail?
    um...schedule a doctors appointment?
i heard that if you cut your toe nail straight it doesnt grow in as much and isnt an ingrown toe nail!
AFTER SOAKING YOUR FOOT. YOU SHOULD TRY TO TRIM DOWN YOUR NAIL. AFTER HAVING A ONE THAT GOT SO BAD I ENDED UP HAVING MAJOR INFECTION, THE DR. HAD TO NUMB MY WHOLD FOOT AND LITERALLY CUT IT OUT WITH SCISSORS. AND SCRAPE OUT SOME OF THE INFECTION. I PERSONALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN THIS '; CUT THEM SQUARED'; STUFF, I CUT MINE SHORT ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE THAT I DON'T GET THAT KILLER CORNER......CATCH IT BEFORE IT GETS BAD.....THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY.....BUT IF YOU DO HAVE ANY PAIN, SOAK IT WITH WARM WATER WITH SOME EPSON SALT.....
    see a doctor

please and thankyouu [-:I have a ingrown toe nail please help!? 10 POINT QUESTION!?
Get your mom to buy a foot bath at the phamacy and soak your feet in warm water and epson salts. Pat your feet dry, and use a medicated foot powder such as Gold's.

If you notice any redness and swelling, call the doctor.

I once almost lost my leg because I had gotten a staph and a strep infection in a scratch I got while camping.I have a ingrown toe nail please help!? 10 POINT QUESTION!?
yeah the salt water didnt help me either i had to go get it taken out and then it happened it again and i have to go get the same thing done and get the root killed. i have one now but lol i m not going to the dr lol that shyt hurts. so what i did was i soak it and i try to pull out the ingrown toe and poor proxide on it
ok i am the same age so what i do is take ur toe cutters er whatever and cut them on an angle so say on ur lift toe you want the right side of your cutters pointing up and then once you got ur nail kinda cut just peel it off and then part of it will *** out then take ur nail and get the rest of it out by scraping it. hope this help
If you can lift up the corner of the nail, put a little bit of cotton under the corner. Use antibiotic ointment on it too. I have had both nail done, I know it hurts but if you can not fix it yourself, you may have to go to the doctor.

Iv had an ingrowing toe nail removed and its gone all?????

its gone all itchy ive had both corners of the nail removed from my big toe on my left foot its bin realy itchy for the past 2 days and i have a little bit of pain. I got it done 5 days ago and i change my dressing everyday. is it normal for it to be itchy please help ????Iv had an ingrowing toe nail removed and its gone all?????
Itching is normal. It means its healing! Don't worry, you are fine!Iv had an ingrowing toe nail removed and its gone all?????
Yes, itchy is a sign of healing. The small incision they made (most likely with a laser) is now healing over the part of your toe nail that is still there. When an ingrown toe nail is removed, what they are actually doing is killing the part of the nail bed that the edges of the nail grows from. As it heals like with most deep cuts, it will get itchy. As long as it is clean with no discharge you should be fine. If you are still concerned you should contact your doctor to make sure that all is well. Good luck, Im sure your toe will feel much better soon.

Why the girls wear toe nail polish.?

    What a good question

my wife started doin that, all I can say is ya cant polish a turdWhy the girls wear toe nail polish.?
it make them look cuter cleaner and more put together. it shpws we take time to think about how we look and it can add alot to an outfit! if ur gonna wear sandals and ur a girl u almost have to paint ur nails. pink and sparkles r the best!!Why the girls wear toe nail polish.?
    JUST LIK3 W3 LIKE TO DR3SS UP OUR BODIES, W3 LIK3 TO DR3SS UP OUR TO3S.
To make our toes look prettier
so our feel look cute in sandles. who wants too look at ugly toe nails.
Because we want our feet to be pretty, and because pedicures feel AWESOME! You should try one. They're not even particularly girly ... I'd never had a manicure or pedicure till my boyfriend and I and 5 of our friends went before Mardi Gras Ball. In case you're not in the mood to do the math, that's a party of 7 - 3 guys, 4 girls.
To match our heels. Trust me, most guys don't see what we women see. So just accept it when girls are super anal about toe or nail polish

    Cheers~
    it's sexy
because it makes our feet look alot cuter!
    Because it's cute.
because its easy for girls to hide gross toenails. Guys just have to live with them they cant paint them.
the same reason they paint there nails and it looks better

How do i clip my dogs toe nails?

My dog is 55 pounds and pretty strong, she won't le me clip her toe nails,

What should i do to make her let me? Nothing seems to work, what should I do? She is really frantic and hates her feet touched. I've tried securing her by the collar and holding her firmly, but she struggles alot. It's gotten to the point that her nails are too long and they affect how she walks. Help!

    Thanks!

How do i clip my dogs toe nails?
Possibly getting some one else to help you if you dont want to go to the groomers or have your vet do it.

you hold her while the other clips the nails, or the opposite, helper holds, you clip, after each clip you give her a little treat. How do i clip my dogs toe nails?
If she is too difficult you can always take her to the vet once a month and get them to do it. Some vets don't charge while others will charge $5-10. There is also a groomer.

You could get someone to help you by asking them to hold your dog while you clip. The best way to hold a dog is have one arm around the neck going under the chin which then can come up to your face. And one hand over the dogs mid section.

This is how vet students are taught to hold an animal.. I knwo this b/c i just finished a vet assistant course.

You also want to make it a positive experience so you eventually can do it without another person. To achieve this give treats after you do their nails. I do one treat per paw.
You are causing too much stress, for her and you. Take her to a vet, quick and easy, then walk her aon a concrete surface there after, this will ware down the nails naturally, should be no need for nail clipping other than dew claws there after. If you force her into it, which i doubt she will allow, you could cut the vessel and she will bleed, not life threatening, but very sore, so have a professional do it. Also the local dog groomer could be another option, and cheaper.
you're going to have to work with her to get her to let you touch her feet before you can ever trim her nails. during ';quiet times';, touch her feet and hold them. don't try to do anything to them or even touch her nails at first. she has to get used to you handling her feet and knowing that nothing bad is going to happen. a lot of dogs have a thing about their feet... kind of like a lot of people! :)

if her nails are so long that they are affecting her ambulation, i recommend that you take her to the vet now for a nail trim. vets are used to dealing with ';difficult'; animals, and it may be quite some time before she'll let you perform a home pedicure. it is going to take time and a lot of patience to get her to the point where you can trim her nails yourself. hang in there.
At this point, either take her to a vet or a groomer and get them trimmed. Have them show you how to do it. You don't ';make them LET you';, you just do it because it is good for them and they need it. That is the mistake people make. The dog protests and they give in. Everytime you have given in, the dog has won and NOW you have a problem.
Vet. Or you can try the Pedi-Paw or Peticure. I have a Pedi-Paw which they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond. Its I think $14.99 +tax. Its great, my pug was a little hesitant at first, but doesn't mind it now. In the directions it says for large dogs who are uncomfortable about it, safely lay your dog on their side or back and put your body over them, just so they can't move or get up. It doesn't make much sound at all! Good luck!
If you live in Vancouver or something you should go clip you dogs nail at Pet Smart. They clipped my dogs nails really nice. Now i go and clip my dogs nail all the time there. Just go to they store and ask them if you can make a appointment and just go on that day. I would perfer to make the appointment in the morning because it will fill up. HOPE THIS HELPED!
Are you using dog ';scissors'; or guillotine type clippers? Some dogs are afraid of the noise that the guillotine ones make.

Try having her lay down on her side, this may help.

Also here is an article that may be of help to you.

    http://www.all-about-goldens.com/trimmin鈥?/a>

    Hope this helps!
If it's finally at the point where it's effecting her movement it might be best to get some assistance from your vet, only to be safe so that you don't injure her trying to cut them yourself.
have you tried the treat sistem. Give her a treat when you go to touch her feet then try to clip the nail give her another treat and so on. good luck.
if you haven't, buy Special training clippers, but DO NOT do it when the dog is sleeping he/she could wake and get surprised and who know what. try a groomers. good luck :)
take her to the vet and let them cut them. that way if she struggles they have more people to hold her down. or the groomers would work fine.
take her to the groomer, if she is uncomfortable and dont want you cutting her nails dont force her you might end up hurting her which wouldnt be good.
Go to your vet or a professional groomer if you can't manage to do it.

  • Is it ok to paint over old toe nail polish???

I don't see why not. I do though sometimes if you do it a lot it will get think and well peel off but I don't think it is bad. It just might not look all that well.Is it ok to paint over old toe nail polish???
It ends up staining your natural toenail so it doesn't get the air to breath properly like it needs to.Is it ok to paint over old toe nail polish???
Any OLD nail polish causes your toe nails to turn yellow which isn't good..so adding another layer can only be worse so no its not ok.
    NO ITS NOT OK !!!

tht is so bad, why dont u jst clean off the old nail polish?

i h8 it when ppl do tht !!

first of all it does terrible stuff to the nails, second its grossss..
Its definitely not advisable to do it. Wipe off the old polish and let the toes nails rest for a while before applying a new coat. Do put on a protective coat before you apply a new coat.
Not really recommended because when you do decide to take nail polish off your nails may turn yellow because of how long the original nail polish has been on. Go to the store and get a bottle of nail polish remover for under $3.
    no
No,it causes cancer. How old are you?
its ok to paint over old toe nail polish BUT wen ur tryin to get it off it'll tak forever....
its ok but it doesn't look too hot.

    xoxox
No, it will suffocate your cuticles and produce a substance called polyhydrofolliculus, which secretes lactic acid. This substance slowly and painfully eats away at your toes until nothing is left.
of course its fine to do that. its possible right? but if your worried on how it will look than not really. if its chipped away than no. b/c you will see the marks wear it has a different layer or layers. if its not the same color than you will definetly notice too. so why try to cover something up when you can just go to a local drugstore get some .99 nail polish remover and start over.

i have had severe ingrown toe nails and the best thing you can do is make him an Epsom salt foot bath and try and make him stay off it.

My Toe Nail Is Coming Off.. PLEASE HELP!!!!?

about 2 days ago, i was dancing and my foot hit my other foot, and the toe nail is about to come off. its not all out but its stuck at the end =( it hurts i was bleeding and stuff...

What can and cant I eat? and What do I do? cover it? leave it open? most importantly i need to to know what i can/cant eat.. i am scared of infection, pus and stuff.. =(My Toe Nail Is Coming Off.. PLEASE HELP!!!!?
Soak it in warm water, with Epsom salts. Keep it clean, apply a small amount of Triple antibiotic ointment, (It can be purchased at your local grocery store, or pharmacy), and apply a light telfa, and gauze bandage. Don't worry about what your going to eat, and drink, so much as keeping the area of trauma clean. You are going to lose your nail, but I don't think your in danger of losing your toe. Most of all if you are still very anxious about it, then go to the Urgent Care Center, or Emergency Room.My Toe Nail Is Coming Off.. PLEASE HELP!!!!?
First breathe - when you hit your nail that way it sometimes falls off. I'm sure you're uncomfortable. When you can, I strongly advocate having it clean and open to air - this improves scabbing and will help the very sensitive skin heal. When you can't, then cover it with a good bandage. You should clean it initially with peroxide - and after you've had to have it in shoes for long periods of time (several hours)

Don't force the nail to come off - let it do so naturally. Pulling it increases your chances of infection. BTW it will grow back. Adding a little calcium into your diet and anything with good imune builders won't hurt -

    Hope you feel better soon!
leave it open and put neosporin salve on it.ot tetramiacin.that will stop infection.you can get it at walmart real cheap.good luck!
its fine, keep it clean, the nail will grow back on its own, dont play with it and try not to wear any tight shoes for a while
just keep it clean and go to a doctor ASAP!
see a doctor ASAP because it will get infected for sure
ok first of all you can eat anything you want, unless you eat with your toes, nothing you eat is going to affect your toe. IF it bleeds still put a gauze pad over when you wear shoes other wise leave it uncovered. Let the toenail come off on its own. I have had this happen twice as a kid (tomboy) and it grows back. There should be no infection as long as you keep it clean, which you do by keeping the dirt out of it and washing it off when you shower/bathe. It will start to get redish and puffy if infection is setting in at that point I would go see a Dr. If you can't afford one just wait and let the infection build a bit ( couple of days to make sure it is an infection and not just mild swelling) then open the the main site of the infection with a needle and let it drain. But really to be safe if it gets infected you should have a Dr. look at it.
This has happened to be a couple times. Clip the remaining piece as close as possible. It doesnt need to be covered unless its raw or is rubbing your shoes, in that case just use bandaids and Neosporin ointment. Keep it clean and dry, barefoot as much as you can and it will grow back. It will take a while but its not a major problem. I dont know what your refering to about what to eat, that wont have any affect on infection and actually your toe nail grows from under the skin so unless your toe is cut there really is nothing to worry about.

i hope you are able to switch to sandals for even one day because the sneaker will make his feet hot and get more infected. My 5yr old has a in grown toe nail?
He should be able to wear a sandal if at all possible for now.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH AN InGROWN TOE NAIL!!!!!!!!?

i have an ingrown toe nail for nearly one year

It's excruciating especially when i am playing soccer

i planned to have the surgery while sleeping because i'm scared. But how much will it cost?Or should i go to the local clinic and have the nail taken out while i'm awake? i had just watched the surgery on youtube!!!!!and it really psyche me out!!!!Which one will be cheaper?WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH AN InGROWN TOE NAIL!!!!!!!!?
    First, get it fixed.

    (as soon as possible)

The longer you let it go, the worse the infection will become AND it might take longer to take care of. Sometime they will put you on anti-biotics or similiar if the infection is too bad. (before they will even work on it)

You can opt for partial nail removal, or full.

However, when you talk to the doctor, ask to make sure they will prepare the nail bed afterword so that it wont do it again.

The nail will dry out and heal pretty quickly.

I have had ingrowns on both my big toes, Trust me, its better to get it taken care of correctly and before it gets too bad.

As far as asleep/awake, either way you gotta get a shot! So, you might as well be awake, its cheeper and it really does not take long. (just dont look!)WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH AN InGROWN TOE NAIL!!!!!!!!?
    I used to have one.

I went to a podiatrist and he like cut my nail in a way that took out in the ingrown toe nail, and it was sore for a few days.

If it doesn't come back then you're fine, but if it does then I remember that the doctor said we had to do a minor surgery.

But I reccommend seeing a podiatrist.

It helped me, and I hope it works for you!
let it grow and trim your nail straight ..... also buy a nail polisher in any drugstores

  • How to treat/cure toe-nail FUNGUS ??

I have had toe-nail fungus for years. I treat it every day with usually vapor-rub , but feel it does not penetrate the fungus very well. Any ideas????How to treat/cure toe-nail FUNGUS ??
vit-e capsuls just squeeze the oil out and rub it into your toe nail and get as much under as possible it is a slow process but worksHow to treat/cure toe-nail FUNGUS ??
hey. Not sure why you are using ';vapor rub'; on your feet. That is something I'd expect you'd rub on your chest for breathing problems...

If you are serious, I'd recommend tinactin. as I recall it comes in liquid or ointment. When I was more active (disabled now) I played ball and spent lots of time in the gym, that is what I used. I preferred the liquid; comes in a small plastic bottle. Cost about 5-7 bucks but was really worth it.

It worked great, and would work fast: several days to a week to clear up stuff.

    IMO.
Hie. first thing make sure to keep your feet and your toes dry.afterwards apply baking soda and when its dry apply some glycerine oil.see the resuts after a few days and if it persits see a doctor.how could you stay with this for years??
