What is in growing toe nail?

When your toenail grows down into your toe. It grows into the flesh and then most of the time a doctor has to cut it out for you. Best way to stop that from happening is to cut your toenails straight over and not round at the corners. What is in growing toe nail?
An ingrown toenail is a painful condition of the toe. It occurs when a sharp corner of the toenail digs into the skin at the end of or side of the toe. Pain and inflammation at the spot where the nail curls into the skin occurs first.

* If left untreated, an ingrown toenail can progress to an infection or even an abscess that requires surgical treatment.

* Ingrown toenails are common in adults but uncommon in children and infants. Any toenail can become ingrown, but the condition is usually found in the big toe. What is in growing toe nail?
It's when the side of your nail starts to grow into the skin around it. Difficult to explain.
Instead of your toe-nail grown straight up, it curls at the top and grows in towards the toe.
What i have XD, pretty painful sometimes, its where the toenail goes into the skin of your toe if you get me
bacteria and vitamin. i think toe nails are suppose to be vitamin b or something but there is definatley always bacteria and cells that build around the inner part of the nail.
it is deadly disease.
the toe nail also grows sideways into the skin, as well as in length.

its a normal, but sometimes painful if left untreated.

they have certain toe nail clippers to cut them easier.

cut them when you get out of the shower. the skin is softer around the toe nail.

when you see blood. stop cutting, ha.

good luck
When you look and your toe - you have the nail bed (the bottom of the nail by your cuticle); the top of the nail (that protrudes from your toe, the bit you trim); and the sides of the nails (going all the way up from top to bottom).

Ingrowing nails affect the sides (most often towards the top). As the nail grows, instead of growing straight up and protruding off the end of the toe, the sides curve over slightly and grow into the toe itself. Ouch, painful!

Some people are just very prone to them - they even have to have the sides cut away, right from the top down to the bottom and pulled out at the nail-bed! Ouch, even more painful!

However, most of the time, sufferers can treat mild cases at home - soaking their feet; using a cotton bud to gently push back the skin at the sides; and placing a tiny bit of cotton wool under the nail at the point of 'in-growth'. Once the nail has grown longer and 'trained or forced' to grow out from the toe rather that into it - it can be cut into a neat, straight line.

But sometimes, the ingrowing nail causes a great deal of problems from pain to infection and so on.

If you are suffering - make an appointment to go and see and Chiropodist or Podiatrist. They'll be able to treat you and give you ways to look after any problem nails.

Hope this helps.
