My second toe nail has fallen off.?

I dropped some frozen meat on my foot and my second toe nail fell off 2 days later. The nail has grown back just a litte but is kinda weird in texture and look. It has not fully grown back yet but is this normal? How long will it take to grow back completely like my original nail as far as in length and texture? The incident happened at least 2 months agoMy second toe nail has fallen off.?

but, i am surprised that it grew in that quickly


sometimes this takes a long time to happen


i would take the fact that it grew in quickly as a good sign





the quality and texture of the nail (from what i've seen) does improve with time (growth) but sometimes it doesn't look 100% right





i don't know why it is that some nails grow back fine and others continue to look a bit odd

It'll take a few months, depending on whether your hair and nails grow quickly or slowly. It will grow back and look normal - I've had toenails surgically removed, and they've all grown back. Upping your vitamin E and calcium intake may speed the process a little, but it's mostly up to your body.
i have had mine fall off before it usually takes mine 2-3 months to grow back but i guess everyone is different. when mine grew back though they were the same as before there was no different texture or anything so i would keep an eye on it and if it starts looking to different i would get it checked.
Yes it is normal. Think about how often you trim your toe nails. Then imagine the amount you take off each time -- you will then be able to approximate the full return of your nail.
nahh its fine my brother in law had his enite toe nail fall off and it grew back in 1 or 2 weeks. but its kinda weird that you've waited 2 months. but, it will grow back in no time
A few years ago I slammed a door shut and my thumb was against the frame. my nail fell of a few days later and took about 3-4months to grow bk fully. Give it more time
you may have damaged the growth center of the nail bed.in that case you may always have a disfigured nail.
My grandfather cut off his toenail with a lawnmower and said it took him two weeks for his toenail to grow back normally. I think it will grow back normally, though, soon enough.

Toe nails hardly grow back the same...My friends nail came off 3 years ago and it still looks ugly...She now just puts a fake nail over and it Looks good!
Have a foot doctor (podiatrist) check the toe to be on the safe side from it growing wrong.

It depends if it got infected or not. You might want to get it checked out by a doctor
umm thats kinda gross lol. well it will probly grow back soon... well actually within the next 4-5 months?? idk
