What to do about worn down dog toe nails?

our samoyed has extremely short toe nails. we did not cut them. we just adopted her 2 weeks ago and they just keep getting shorter. now the vain is showing out the bottom. kind of like a bulge. she does not seem in pain but i would like to know what to do.

Could get her to wear boots, alternatively you could encourage her to run on the grass.





Eventually I would think they should stop wearing down on their own though. (once the nail has worked its way back to a point where it just brushes the ground).





Personally, if it doesn't seem to be causing a problem, I'd let it be for now. If it starts to cause a problem, discuss with your vet or the shelter you adopted from, and see about some additional opinions.What to do about worn down dog toe nails?
