My dog somehow yanked his entire toe-nail out....?

Does this require medical attention. It bled a lot for the first hour, but it is not bleeding anymore. he seems uncomfortable, he is limping. I have cleaned it and am keeping an eye on it.My dog somehow yanked his entire toe-nail out....?
I would call the vet and see if they want to see him.

But I would also make sure you continue to wash the toe every day and put antibiotic on it. Because the toe can quickly become infected. My dog somehow yanked his entire toe-nail out....?
Yes, you want to get the dog started on antibiotics immediately. Nail bed infections frequently move into the bone of the toe, and once the infection is in the bone it is terribly difficult or impossible to treat... often, the toe requires amputation. Much better to prevent this!
Yes it requires medical attention. It is extremely painful and can get infected easily. Better yet, why don't you yank your toenail out at the root and see how it feels. Think you would go to a doctor?
If I were you I'd take him to the vet to have it checked out, it may get infected. It sounds like it may need to be bandaged.
yes, it does require medical attention.

Would you go to the doctor if your fingernail was ripped out?

yes, yes you would.
if he doesn't seem better by the next day, i'd take him too the vet.

you wouldn't want him to get an infection there.

he's probably in alot of pain.

a vet check wouldn't hurt.
well you see he's in pain (don't give any pain medicine without asking the vet though)...yes he may need antibiotics and it bandaged.
ye stake him to the vet he might give the dog a pain killer, and bandage it.
