i remember seeing the 2nd toe being purple but i just checked it out and its not attached its falling out...what do i do?? whats this mean? can it be frost bite?(HELP) My Toe Nail Is Falling Out...????

Is it the actual toe or the nail?





If it's just the nail falling off then that's nothing really to worry about, sometimes the nail becomes detached for whatever reason. Just put a band-aid on it and keep it clean.





If it's the toe itself falling off then get yourself to an ER! Have someone drive you or call an ambulance-don't drive yourself and risk getting in an accident.





If the nail is falling off and the toe is purple, but the toe is still on your foot, then I have a few other questions...is it numb? If you've lost all feeling and your toe is blue/purple you should probably go to the ER. If it's just purple and in pain you might have bruised it somehow-that's less emergent but you should still see a doctor either way.

it is probably bruised. it's going to fall out no matter what, it will grow back. you just have to be patient. sorry that's happening to you.

You probably stubbed you toe bad but don't really remember it. It probably will fall off, but just keep the toe covered with a small dressing. That area, the nail bed, is very sensitive and until a new nail grows back, which it will, be sure to keep it protected.





If you have and swelling or oozing of pus, then go to an MD. You'll need antibiotics.
